Kris Lemmens

Kris Lemmens is a Partner at Schoups.

Kris Lemmens obtained his law degree in 2003 from the KU Leuven and an additional Master's degree in Government Management and Policy in 2007. He is a member of the Bar of the province of Antwerp.

Kris is active in public law, more specifically in the field of public procurement and public-private partnerships (PPP). He focuses in particular on advising and representing construction actors in the award and implementation of construction projects in the public sector.

Kris joined the Schoups firm in 2005. Before that, he worked for the City of Brussels as a legal counsel for public procurement at the department of Urbanism - department of Architecture.

Kris Lemmens is ranked in the Legal 500 EMEA 2020 for the categories Dispute Resolution and Real Estate & Construction.

He publishes regularly on public procurement law and gives lectures and in-house training on the subject.

He is also a member of the editorial board of the Tijdschrift voor Bouwrecht en Onroerend Goed (Journal of Construction Law and Real Estate) and a director of the Belgian Construction Law Association.
